in-Lion Patch for Windows 7 and IE8 If you have IE 7 or 8, and/or Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit), you may need a patch to get in-Lion to work. Without the patch, in-Lion will run, but when you try to drag an image onto the toolbar, you get a circle cursor with a diagonal line. This means that the image fails to get added to the toolbar. (Normally, you would see a cursor with a plus sign.) We have developed a patch to allow you to use in-Lion with Windows 7 and/or IE8. There are two files, which you need to place into the same directory folder as the in-Lion.exe file. C:\Program Files (x86) Download the two patch files [Patch.zip] here: Once you have placed these two files into the in-Lion directory folder on your PC, make sure that both IE and in-Lion are not running (closed), and then click on 'InstallationUtility.exe' to run the patch. You should see the following window: Make sure "Enabled" is selected and click "OK". And that is all you should need to do....unless..... Some users may find that when they try to drag an image onto the in-Lion toolbar, they are seeing a "+" (plus) sign, but the image still does not appear on the toolbar. Here is where that second file you downloaded comes in. Click the 'Load' button on the right side of the in-Lion toolbar, as shown below: When the following window opens, navigate to the in_Lion dirctory folder on your PC, and click on the 'inLion.txt' file to highlight it, then click 'Open'. The in-Lion toolbar will now look like this: Now it should work. You may need to take this quick step whenever you open in-Lion. The good news is that you will probably not have to navigate to the txt file; it will be right there as soon as you click on the 'Load' button. If you are having trouble with this, please contact us and we'll try to help. Download in-Lion now! |
